Game Ideas
- Capture the Flag
- Capture the flag is one of the most commonly played games of paintball. Each team has a flag to protect somewhere on the side they start on. The objective is to get the other team's flag and run it back to your side.
- Capture the Flag : Reinforcements
- The rules are the same as Capture the Flag except you never go out. When a player is tagged, they only need to run back to a designated point. Then they are back in the game. This keeps the objective as the main focus rather than just eliminating the other team. A time limit on the game is generally a good idea in case neither team can capture the flag.
- Center Flag
- In Center Flag, there is only one flag. The flag is positioned in the middle of the field. The objective is to capture the flag and run it back past the other teams boundary line.
- Elimination
- Elimination is the most basic game of paintball. There are no flags. The objective is simply to shoot everyone on the opposing team.
- Attack and Defend
- In Attack and Defend, each team is designated as either the Attackers or the Defenders. The outnumbered defenders cannot advance past a designated point. They bunker down to protect a nearby flag. The Attackers just try to pick off the Defenders or capture their flag.
- Hunted
- This is a timed game. Divide the teams so that one team is greatly outnumbered (ex. 2 vs 12 or 1 vs 9). That team is the hunted. The other is the hunting party. The outnumbered players recieve a limited amount of ammunition, such as 10 balls each. Before the game starts, the hunted are allowed to take their positions on the field. The object is to find and tag the hunted. For the hunted, the object is to eliminate all players of the hunting party or survive until the time is up.
- Protect the President
- This is one of the more commonly known scenario games. One team is the president and his secret service. The other is a terrorist group. The presidential objective is to get the President to a predetermined location without being shot. The president is either unarmed or equipped with small firepower (either a pistol or a limited amount of ammo) and must have one member of the secret service with him (unless there are none).
- Zombies
- Divide the teams so that one team is greatly outnumbered (ex. 2 vs 12 or 1 vs 9). The outnumbered team are among the zombies. The other is among the living. The zombies objective is to recruit more zombies by tagging them. When someone is tagged by a zombie, they become a zombie and continue playing. When a zombie is tagged, the zombie is out of the game. The objective of the living is, of course, to eliminate all zombies.
